Artburst Festival attracts a star-studded lineup

FROM X Factor runners-up Journey South to '70s supergroup the Rubettes there will certainly be something for everyone when this year's Artburst Festival comes to East Kilbride.

Organised by the local authority and East Kilbride Arts Council, the weekend-long series of events will take place on June 19 and 20.

Acts this year will also include Girls B Loud, Fake That, Racey, The Laura Healy Band, Stretch Dawson and the Mending Hearts Band, Horse, Fangs and '90s favourites D:Ream.

A selection of community groups, street festival acts and performances will also feature at the fun weekend event.

The festival will start with a circus pageant procession on Friday, June 19, proceeding along the Village Main Street and assembling in front of the main stage in Hunter Street at 7pm for the opening of the exciting event.
