THIS latest exciting news for East Kilbride Thistle fans could be about to get even better in the coming weeks, as more money-men become involved in the Jags project.
New consortium member Neil Hobbs is ready to bring other big hitters on board.
Pictured with Neil is Jerry Dowd of Trident Seafoods, a worldwide distributor, whose company has a base at Dutch Harbour in Alaska.
That's the home of hit TV programme The Deadliest Catch and Dowd has also pledged to become involved in the drive to give EK Thistle their dream home.
Consortium spokesman King smiled: "Jerry is a larger-than-life character and plans are already afoot to have him wearing a Thistle jersey on an epiosde of The Deadliest Catch to boost our profile.
"He's up for that and also throwing his support behind the plans. James Kean has fished him with him and is a close friend of his – Jerry will bring another dimension to the consortium."
Also in the picture are American businessmen Colonel Dave Gilbert and his son Chris, as well as private practicioners Dr Rob Guerreso and Tom Corley who will all be involved in the programmes to twin young Jags sides with clubs in the Atlanta area.
