ONE of the stars of Scottish comedy is to perform in the town this month.
Bruce Fummey is now a regular around comedy clubs and corporate dinners in the UK circuit.
Bruce started down the road of comedy and after dinner speaking through proposing toasts at Burns Suppers.
Bruce is now more widely known as an a highly acclaimed toastmaster, compere and after-dinner speaker.
Bruce has been making people laugh since an early age with his cheeky and vivacious comedy style.
At the outset of his career he was a semi-finalist in Channel 4’s So you Think You’re Funny in 2004 — and it turns out he was — and BBC Talent in 2005.
Bruce has performed in Jongleurs, The Comedy Store, The Stand and many other clubs up and down the country.
He has also performed in more traditional settings for company Christmas parties, large festivals and corporate dinners, as well as theatre tours of his own one-man shows.
Fummey is a born communicator, you just want to listen when he talks, and he knows his stuff.
He drops in personal comments about himself, an Afro-celt, has a 'We are the World' moment comparing today's terrorists and nationalists to the honest boys massacred at Culloden.
If you fancy something different, compelling, absorbing and gently humorous, shift yourself down to the Arts Centre on Friday, February 22.
Tickets are £8/£6 and available on 261000.
