Two to face court over fire death

Two people are due in court in connection with the death of a man who was discovered following a fire in his flat.

A 30-year-old man and a woman, 39, were detained by Strathclyde Police on Monday over the death of Jamie Kerr.

The 34-year-old was found after a fire in his flat on Lincoln Avenue in the Knightswood area of Glasgow on April 11.

Police said at the time that he died as a result of a "brutal and violent attack".

The two people are expected to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court.
