Women 'passed over for top jobs'

Women are continuing to be passed over for top jobs, according to a report published by the Equality and Human Rights Commission Scotland.

The Sex & Power 2011 report is an index of women in positions of power and influence across the public and private sectors.

It shows that while women are graduating from university in increasing numbers and a higher number are achieving better degree results than men, they are not entering management roles at the same rate as their male counterparts.
