SNP backs corporation tax control

Devolving corporation tax could improve the economy, support jobs and boost living standards, according to a report published by the Scottish Government.

The SNP administration has released its corporation tax discussion paper in response to sustained scepticism by the UK Government, the Scotland Office and opposition parties north and south of the border.

The 54-page document contains few precise figures, but expands on some of the broad benefits that the Scottish Government has already published.
