'Selfless' medics Afghanistan bound

NHS doctors and nurses who are heading to Afghanistan to staff a field hospital have been hailed as "truly selfless".

The 55 Territorial Army medics from 205 (Scottish) Field Hospital (Volunteers) will treat wounded service personnel and civilians at the facility in Camp Bastion, Helmand province.

They begin a three-month tour in January and will be part of a multinational team of medical staff at the hospital.
