'Save our sweets' pupils beg MSPs

A group of primary school pupils are urging MSPs to help overturn a ban on sweets in their tuck shop.

The youngsters from Knowetop Primary in Motherwell want the choice to buy chocolate or sweets in their school.

More than a third of youngsters in the area are obese by 15 and councils chiefs say offering healthy options is a key way to tackle this.
