Fewer Scots plan outdoor decoration

Scots are turning into Scrooges when it comes to outdoor festive decorations this Christmas, research showed.

Study findings revealed just 22% of Scots plan to illuminate their neighbourhood with Santas, snowmen and reindeers in the run-up to December 25.

Clydesdale Bank's quarterly Homebuyers Report also revealed that 10% of those who adorned the outside of their homes in previous years were not planning to do so this festive season as recession looms.
