The members of the Tuesday Dance Class at the Red Deer Centre ended 2012 with their Christmas Party.
As usual, a selection of ceilidh, old-time and novelty dances were organised by Irene Oliphant and Drew Turnbull and were enjoyed by all.
As well as a tasty buffet, Santa popped in to join the celebrations.
The dancers were most impressed with the fresh new paintwork in the hall which is currently undergoing a full refurbishment.
Dance organiser Drew said: “It is wonderful tosee the work on improving the centre is well underway.
“Our class provides a great opportunity for folks to enjoy gentle exercise and brush up their dancing skills and we have a large group who enjoy meeting at the Red Deer Centre each Tuesday.
“We look forward to many more happy years of dancing at this centre.”
The dance group raised £47 on the day for the Kilbryde Hospice facility within the Red Deer Centre by contributing to a communal Christmas card rather than exchanging individual cards.
The seasonal festivities concluded at the end of December when the group visited the Village Steakhouse for their post-Christmas lunch .
On behalf of the class, treasurer Irene Ferguson offered her thanks to South Lanarkshire Council forproviding a grant towards the lunch.
Anyone interested in joining the class will be made most welcome.
Just go along to the Red Deer Centre on Tuesday mornings at 10am.
