An online friendship between a single father from East Kilbride and a Canadian woman was severed when she found his vile stash of child porn.
Hamilton Sheriff Court heard on Friday that widowed Kevin Jones invited Stephanie Andronov and her two daughters, aged seven and nine, to Scotland after they met on the social networking site Facebook.
However, the relationship came to an abrupt end last January when a horrified Ms Andronov discovered sick images of children on 40-year-old Jones computer.
Fiscal depute Jackie Spiers said: She was so upset she packed her and her daughters bags and left for the airport.
The shocking discovery was reported to a friend of Jones family, who contacted police.
Officers spoke to Ms Andronov then raided Jones Whitehills home, where they recovered 21 indecent pictures and movies of young children.
Ms Spiers added: A total of six still images of children aged from eight to 12 were found on the computer.
There were also 15 moving images of children aged from eight to 14.
Jones pled guilty to two charges of downloading and sharing indecent photographs of children.
The offences occurred at his home address at 37 Kronborg Way, East Kilbride, between 2010 and 2012.
The pervert was placed on the Sex Offenders Register and released on bail until he is sentenced on November 22.
