A FUN Day will be held in East Kilbride next Saturday, August 15, to raise awareness and funds for young people with respiratory disease.
The event will take place from noon till 4pm at the Ballerup Recreational Area, Whitehills, East Kilbride.
In addition to home-baking, a tombola, raffles, information stalls and a bouncy castle, there will also be a five-a-side football tournament, beat-the-goalie competition, bouncy castle, inflatable sumo suits and a climbing wall.
The event is being organised by NHS Lanarkshire’s respiratory specialist multi-disciplinary team, based at Hairmyres Hospital.
Maureen Carroll, coronary heart disease and respiratory network manager, said: "It is important to raise awareness of different respiratory diseases that affect young people.
"The money raised will be donated to the Freeman’s Lung Transplant Unit and Cystic Fibrosis (Scotland)."
Also attending on the day will be Asthma UK, the British Lung Foundation (BLF) and Chest, Heart and Stroke Scotland (CHSS).
Everyone is welcome to attend.
