SCOTLAND’S Minister for Culture, Strathaven-based MSP Linda Fabiani will be meeting young people at an event in Glasgow this Saturday to celebrate Scottish culture.
The event, hosted by the national youth-led engagement programme Roars not Whispers, will give the young people the opportunity to give their views on the country they live in and to discuss their Scottish identity.
This year of Homecoming is a big year for celebrating culture in Scotland.
Young people aged 16 to 25 from all over Scotland will be gathering at the Trades Hall in Glasgow at 11.30am to engage in discussions with key decision-makers, such as Ms Fabiani
The young people will be asked to give their views on many issues.
Among the questions which will be answered are:
l What does ‘Scottish’ mean? l What does it mean to be young in this country?
l How do we celebrate and promote the value which young people in Scotland bring to the country?
