FORMER East Kilbride man Bryan Larkin will be flying high at this year’s Edinburgh International Film Festival when the red carpet is rolled out for his own movie premiere.
The BAFTA award-winning actor and filmmaker, formerly of St Leonards has been travelling the world and picking up roles in movies in Scotland, London and Los Angeles, but it looks like his big break is just around the corner with his latest project.
Bryan has been writing, acting and producing his own feature film, Running in Traffic, with his production company for the past two years. The film, a gritty tale about life, death and everything in between, has already been nominated for three BAFTA awards and won the best producer category in March.
It is in competition for four awards in Edinburgh, including the best new British feature film.
Running in Traffic is a semi-biographical story that is dedicated to his late father Frank who passed away in 2006 after being diagnosed to cancer.
Bryan said: “I would just like people to see this film and for it to be of some comfort to those who have lost someone close to them and perhaps felt alone in their grief.”
