We want to know who the public would like to be recognised, no matter their area of success, and regardless if they are living or dead.”
To make a nomination , go to the website at www.lanarkshire2013.com, fill out the form detailing the name of the person, the field in which they have excelled and why you think they should be recognised.
To get the hall of fame started, leaders in fashion, business, music and medicine have already been included including, Sir Alexander Gibson, Christopher Kane, Dr David Livingstone, Sir Harry Lauder, Sir James W Black, Keir Hardie Liz Lochhead and Dr Marion Gilchrist.
