ELECTRO rockers Desolation Yes! have secured a support slot for Manchester electro stars The Whip.
The gig, set to take place at The Arches in Glasgow this Friday, November 14, is sure to be well-attended.
The band released their debut double A-side single Templeton/Instinct last December and as a result gained their material extensive airplay across the country.
Their album CyberNation has been recorded and is scheduled for release in 2009. And with support slots for the likes of Howling Bells, NoMeansNo, Simian, Jubilee, Clearlake and the Vessels and a past residency at Glasgow's Blackfriars – the local band are established as a leading force on the Glasgow music circuit.
The band is now made up of Paul Elliot, from The Murray, who is lead singer but also helps out with some guitar and beats; Gerry Neary, from Whitehills who plays keyboard, synth, piano and bass; Ally MacKechnie, who plays guitar and midiscratcher and Raven Taylor, who plays bass and violin.
Tickets for the show at The Arches are priced at £8.50 and available from Tickets Scotland and all other reliable ticket retailers.
