THERE was dancing in the aisles in East Kilbride Shopping Centre – when a host of top dance stars kept shoppers of all ages enthralled during the October Break.
Britain’s Got Talent finalists Nemesis, Strike and Signature visited Scotland’s largest undercover shopping centre and joined local dance and sports groups who invited youngsters to try out new skills during a series of free workshops.
Funky Feet was a first for the centre and the week-long event from October 13 to 17 featured a different dance theme each day.
Also starring throughout the week were LMG School of Dance and European cheerleading champions, Electric Candy.
EK Tae Kwon Do added to the fun on the same day as Strike with their special come-and-try workshop sessions.
Commenting on the Funky Feet event, Andy Bradley, centre director at East Kilbride Shopping Centre, said: “This week has taken dancing in the aisles to a different level. It’s been great to see shoppers of all ages really enjoy the performances.
“All the artistes have made this one of our most successful week of events and I’d like to thank them all for their hard work, especially the local groups who inspired lots of youngsters.”
